The Wyandot Indian Mission
Located on North Church St. in Upper Sandusky, this mission is the first Methodist Mission in the United States, and the only mission ever build with government funds. Although services are still held in the mission during the summer, the interior of the mission contains paintings of some of the more well known Wyandot Indians as well as other interesting items. Behind the Mission is a small fenced in area containing the graves of John Stewart, his wife and some of the Christian Indians. The picture of a stone honoring John Stewart is located below.
